Camille Pouyfaucon Gallery is pleased to present the new solo exhibition by French artist Ben Arpea, a dive into his expanded artistic universe, entitled “Inside Out,” which will take place from March 28th to May 4th, 2024, at 19 rue Guénégaud 75006.The “Inside Out” exhibition marks a significant evolution in Ben Arpea's artistic practice by integrating design as a medium. This creation of a capsule collection of design expresses a bridge between fine art and sculpture, allowing the artist to redefine material in a more concrete form. The design pieces presented in the exhibition are tangible extensions of his artistic language, offering a new perspective on the relationship between art and domestic space.

On this occasion, Ben Arpea will transform the gallery into an intimate space reflecting his universe. The title “Inside Out” refers to the interiors of Ben Arpea, often depicted in his paintings but explored in a more concrete way for this exhibition through the creation of furniture. It also refers to the outdoors, the nature that he holds dear, embodied here by spectacular landscape paintings bathed in warmth and light. Thus, the visitor strolls through the gallery space like a guest in a summer house. From the living room, they observe the sea view, the distant nature, and a tennis court. By creating a line of design, Ben Arpea extends his artistic expression to space design. “Inside Out” thus becomes a sensory exploration where art transcends its traditional role to become an immersive experience.
