Christopher Matthew Boster, known as Justice, began his career as the lead singer and guitarist of the punk rock band OC Justice, which gained a following in the SoCal rock scene. After years as a touring and studio musician, Justice shifted to the art world in 2011. He apprenticed under renowned sculptor Elaine Cohen in Laguna Canyon, learning key skills like color theory and studio management. Discovered by architect Howard Spunt, Justice debuted his art at a Los Angeles gallery, leading to solo exhibitions in cities like New York, Dallas, and San Francisco. His work, known for bold abstractions, floral paintings, and his patriotic “Freedom of Speech” series, often incorporates old American flags, a childhood passion. Justice’s art has been featured in prominent publications and exhibitions, including a cover story in Art Patron Magazine and inclusion in the 2016 Armory Show. His first major institutional exhibition is set for Fall 2024 at Soka University. Justice lives and works in Laguna Beach, CA, and enjoys golf and family time in his free moments.
