Caledonia Curry, known as Swoon, is a globally recognized contemporary artist and filmmaker celebrated for her pioneering public artwork. Over two decades, she has explored human complexity through intimate portraits, immersive installations, and long-term community projects. As one of the first women to gain prominence in Street Art, she paved the way for future generations. Her recent work delves into trauma and addiction, drawing from her own experience growing up in an opioid-affected family. Swoon’s community-driven projects in Braddock, Philadelphia, New Orleans, and Haiti address crises from natural disasters to the opioid epidemic. She is currently developing a feature-length film that blends visual art and storytelling.
