Guy Yanai's artwork presents everyday scenarios using a vibrant color palette and bold brushwork, creating a surface reminiscent of pixels or collages. His pieces blend elements from art history with modern digital aesthetics, infusing the bold hues of Fauvist masters like Henri Matisse with imagery borrowed from television, photography, and cinema. Through his compositions, Yanai captures moments of quiet domesticity and leisure, viewed through a contemporary lens. Educated at Parsons School of Design and the New York Studio School, Yanai earned his BFA from Hampshire College. His work has been showcased in prominent galleries across New York, Berlin, London, Tel Aviv, Los Angeles, and Turin. Additionally, Yanai has collaborated on various projects, including designing tote bags for Artis, creating a towel for Hermès, and curating a collection for designer Scott Sternberg's label, Band of Outsiders.
