Sasha Gordon, a New York-based artist, graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2021. Her work delves into themes of self-image, racial prejudice, mental health, the male gaze, and the complexities surrounding intimacy and the female body. Gordon’s bold visual narratives explore the discomfort and contradictions present in these subjects, often reflecting on her personal experiences. She has held solo exhibitions such as “Hands of Others” at Jeffrey Deitch, New York (2022), and “Enters Thief” at Matthew Brown, Los Angeles (2021). Her group exhibitions include “Wonder Women” at Jeffrey Deitch, New York and Los Angeles (2022), and “No Time Like the Present” at Public Gallery, London (2020). In 2022, Gordon’s first institutional show, “Heroic Bodies”, opened at the Rudolph Tegners Museum in Denmark.
