Pedro Covo is an award-winning painter and illustrator from Cartagena, Colombia. He was born in 1988 and studied visual arts at Javeriana University in Bogotá, graduating in 2011. His work has been featured in several international publications, including Euro Disney, Der Spiegel, and Revue Long Course. Covo’s art often explores the interaction between the human figure and elements like water, capturing dynamic moments with experimental techniques . He has worked across various media, ranging from watercolor and acrylic to digital formats. Some of his notable works include the series “Swimmers,” where he uses fractured brush strokes to depict bodies submerged in water, conveying movement and distortion. Covo has gained recognition for blending realism with abstraction in his portrayals of the human form.
